چکیده
In-situ forming hydrogels have gained noticeable attention to encapsulate osteogenic agents and regenerate irregular-shape bone defects. In this study, a novel thermosensitive hydrogel based on blended methylcellulose (MC) with Persian gum (PG) was fabricated enriched taxifolin (TAX) loaded halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) enhance mechanical biological characteristics of the in tissue engineering. The injectability, rheological tests were performed for different formulations containing 0.25–1.5 w/v% PG 1–7 HNTs. Also, evaluate impact HNTs behavior, degradation rate swelling degree assessed. optimized MC/PG/HNTs 1% 3% (MC/PG-1/HNTs 3%) easily injectable gelled rapidly at physiological temperature, while it had highest strength due existence vitro release study TAX from system also revealed more sustained compared HNTs-TAX nanoparticles. Furthermore, interaction cells osteo-conductivity studied using osteoblast-like (MG-63). Results showed higher cell adhesion, proliferation, gene expression MC/PG-1/HNTs-TAX MC/PG-1 MC/PG-1/HNTs possibly synergic effect TAX. addition, Alizarin Red S staining alkaline phosphatase measurements indicated that promoted differentiation. Eventually, animal studies femoral defects improved remedy when carrying MG-63 cells.

Composite Hydrogels for Bone Regeneration
Over the past few decades, bone related disorders have constantly increased. Among all pathological conditions, osteoporosis is one of the most common and often leads to bone fractures. This is a massive burden and it affects an estimated 3 million people only in the UK. Furthermore, as the population ages, numbers are due to increase. In this context, novel biomaterials for bone fracture regen...

BACKGROUND The study aimed to evaluate the combined effect of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) biophysical stimulation and bone marrow concentrate (BMC) in osteochondral defect healing in comparison to the treatment with scaffold alone. METHODS An osteochondral lesion of both knees was performed in ten rabbits. One was treated with a collagen scaffold alone and the other with scaffold seed...

The current study has investigated the use of decellularised, demineralised bone extracellular matrix (ECM) hydrogel constructs for in vivo tissue mineralisation and bone formation. Stro-1-enriched human bone marrow stromal cells were incorporated together with select growth factors including VEGF, TGF-β3, BMP-2, PTHrP and VitD3, to augment bone formation, and mixed with alginate for structural...
متن کاملMineralization of hydrogels for bone regeneration.
Hydrogels are an important class of highly hydrated polymers that are widely investigated for potential use in soft tissue engineering. Generally, however, hydrogels lack the ability to mineralize, preventing the formation of chemical bonds with hard tissues such as bone. A recent trend in tissue engineering involves the development of hydrogels that possess the capacity to mineralize. The stra...
